NEXUS, the first sustainable datacenter in Belgium

Nexus is the result of a unique collaboration between Ghelamco, Free University of Brussels (VUB), Brussels University Hospital (UZB) and Green Energy Park vzw.

Nexus offers a state of the art datacenter, covering a total floorspace of 11.500 square meters, with the highest standards in sustainability and will be triple certified:

• UPTIME Tier III certification
• BREEAM Excellent
• EDGE Advanced

"Datacenters are an important link in Flanders' energy transition and its evolution towards smart cities and systems. They form the cornerstone of a local resource community, sharing renewable energy, rainwater and recovered heat. Additional to Nexus, Ghelamco is developing on the high-tech business and research campus more R&D-related real estate projects, covering in a first phase ca. 50.000 square meters.
