To offer a response to the growing demand for good-quality care of the elderly, Ghelamco has decided to step up its investments in this sector.
A typical example of this strategy is the residential and care centre in Wezembeek-Oppem, located in a wonderful green area on the outskirts of Brussels, which provides places for approximately 115 seniors. This project, scheduled for handover in mid-2014, fits in perfectly with the diversification policy Ghelamco is implementing within its portfolio.
In line with Ghelamco’s quest for quality, this residential and care centre is being developed in the form of a pavilion structure that blends in seamlessly with its architectural surroundings. A great deal of attention is being lavished on integrating the building into green areas, while incorporating a wide range of leisure activities for residents.
A professional organisation from within this segment of the market will be appointed to run the project so that, in addition to the construction and fit-out of the centre, the care aspect for the elderly will also be assured to the highest level of quality.
