A new home for London’s leading lights
Ghelamco’s first project in the UK, The Arc, is a mixed-use scheme, located in Shoreditch, central London, in the heart of Tech City - also known as the Silicon Roundabout. Situated on City Road, the development is surrounded by a cluster of media and technology companies and is just minutes’ walk from Old Street station.
The Arc offers a collection of 100 studio, one, two and three bed residences on City Road. Award winning architects AHMM have designed a unique 22-storey tower, which rises from a red brick podium building, echoing the industrial spirit of its East London location. The building’s interiors have been curated by the award-winning Bowler James Brindley, offering sophisticated apartments that are an oasis to call home. The residences have floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, creating light and bright interiors, and with most homes offering private outdoor space in the form of terraces, balconies or winter gardens. Alongside the residences, sits 150,000sq ft of office and retail space, located across seven floors and providing fully flexible layouts. The ground floor will also feature an independent, destination restaurant. Outside the front of the building the London Place tree has been preserved, with seating added beneath, creating a public space for people to socialise and enjoy. Meanwhile, a cycle hub is located on the lower ground floor, including 332 cycle parking spaces and a fully equipped gym. The Arc boasts an abundance of lifestyle amenities including a yoga studio, fitness suite, communal lounge, golf simulation room and screening room. Residents will also have access to a landscaped rooftop terrace on the 7th floor, with panoramic views across the City and further afield. Indoor and outdoor event spaces will be managed by a prestigious and innovative management team and will be bookable through a dedicated app. The ground floor of the building will be occupied by an assortment of retailers and restaurants.
Located within 5 minutes’ walk from Old Street underground, Bank is only 3 minutes’ tube away, whilst King’s Cross is just a 5 minute journey. The forthcoming Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) will be approximately 5 minutes’ drive away, connecting you to Heathrow Airport in 31 minutes.
